In our previous post, we unveiled some of the most exciting features of EMDX v2. Now that you have a solid understanding of what’s on the horizon, it’s time to dive into the process of interacting with our current EMDX sub(test)net. This will give you a taste of what’s to come. While the interaction process will be quite similar to what users have been accustomed to, there are a couple of important actions that need to be taken to get started. Essentially, you’ll need to connecto to the network (one time action) and bridge some assets into the subnet before opening positions.

EMDX Sub(test)net 101.

To access the EMDX sub(test)net and try it out, visit this URL: https://subnet-app.emdx.io/. Like any other network, the first step is connecting your wallet to it. When you open the app interface, you’ll see a “Switch Network” button displayed on a red bar at the top.

Click on this button, and a pop-up message from Metamask will appear, prompting you to switch your network to the EMDX subnet.

By clicking “Switch Network,” the connection will occur automatically.

Just in case something goes wrong or if you prefer to do it manually, here are the EMDX Subnet RPC configuration details:

Network Name: EMDX Testnet Subnet

RPC URL: https://subnet-rpc.emdx.io

Chain id: 798990

Symbol: sEMDX

Explorer: https://subnet-explorer.emdx.io

Starting operations

Once you are connected to the EMDX Subnet, you’ll need to grant the protocol permission to interact with your Metamask wallet to start trading.

In the upper right corner, you will find the “Connect Wallet” button. Click on it, and a Metamask message will appear, asking you to sign in to proceed.

Once signed in, you’ll be logged into the EMDX protocol and almost ready to start trading!

Bridging assets into EMDX.

The next and final step involves moving assets into the network. To do this, visit https://bridge.emdx.io/.

Here’s a quick guide:

  1. Connect your wallet
  2. Fill in every field:
  • Home network: The network you are currently connected to.
  • Destination network: EMDX Subnet.
  • Select the asset you want to bridge.
  • Enter the amount you want to send.
  • Provide your destination address.

3. Click “Start Transfer!”

After a few seconds, your assets will be within the EMDX Subnet, and you’ll be fully prepared to start trading!

In the meantime the EMDX team is actively working to simplify all steps and enhance the user experience. Soon, you won’t notice any difference compared to centralised exchanges.

Thank you for being an essential part of our community! Stay tuned for more exciting developments.

Testing the subnet testnet

To experience our subnet testnet firsthand, users should navigate to the following URL: https://subnet-faucet.emdx.io/. Upon visiting, users will receive an allocation of 500 USDC and 0.1 EMDX tokens on the Avalanche Fuji Network. Once these tokens are secured, they can be seamlessly bridged through our app at https://bridge.emdx.io/ (this process should take no more than 30 seconds). It’s essential to note that EMDX tokens within the subnet are denominated as sEMDX and serve as the currency for covering subnet gas fees. At this juncture, traders gain full access to the subnet and can engage in trading various FX perpetual swaps.

As we offer you a sneak peek into the exciting features of our upcoming platform, we want to express our gratitude for your unwavering support.
