We’re excited to announce the launch of the Early-Staking Program, an exclusive opportunity for participants of the First Community Airdrop: Genesis and Early users, as well as early contributors who hold $aEMDX tokens. This staking program is designed to reward our community, allowing users to stake their $aEMDX testnet tokens for a six-month period and earn $EMDX rewards on mainnet simultaneously.

- Deposits Starts: June 27th at 3 p.m. UTC
- Deposits End: June 30th at 3 p.m. UTC
- Staking Duration: 6 months
- APR: 74%
- Staking Starts: July 15th, 2023.
- Rewards Withdraw: Participants can withdraw their earned $EMDX rewards on mainnet at any time.

How the program works
Users deposit their $aEMDX tokens into a “Deposit” contract in the Fuji C-Chain Testnet, securely locking their tokens. Once the deposit period concludes on June 30th, the corresponding stakes for each user’s deposit will be transferred into mainnet, enabling the staking of $EMDX tokens in the Mainnet Staking Contract.
Stakers can claim their rewards at any time after the Mainnet staking contract is initiated. Following the completion of the 6-month staking period, users will be able to withdraw the EMDX tokens they have staked.

- Connect your wallet
- Enter the amount of $aEMDX you want to deposit
- Click on “Deposit”
- Approve the transaction
- Congratulations, you are now Staking!
How are staking rewards calculated?
Staking rewards are determined using the following formula:
Rewards = (User’s staked amount / Total staked amount) * (Total rewards / Rewards period) * User’s staking period
Governance Voting for Staking Token Holders
All users that stake their tokens will have equal voting power within the EMDX governance system. Meaning that they can actively participate and vote on any proposal during the Forum or Snapshot phase.
